On August 9, we invite you to join us for Recess Relay: Play It Forward. This event is not just a fundraiser; it’s a joyful gathering that brings together community, fun, and a powerful mission. Much like our impactful Raise Your Voice launch on December 5, 2024, at Wander Speakeasy, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Hosted at the brand-new Recess AZ, this gathering is a chance to relive the joy of play while supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Here, play transforms into purpose, and connection evolves into cause.
What to Expect During the Three Hours
Join us for an action-packed afternoon filled with excitement! Here’s what you can look forward to:
Team-based tournament across three interactive game zones:
- Axe Throwing
- Playground Team Challenges
- Game Show Experience
Rotating gameplay that keeps energy high and fun fresh
One drink ticket included (alcoholic or non-alcoholic)
Live DJ, dance vibes, and community cheer
Prizes presented by Overstock for winning teams and chances to enter a raffle
Drink, play, compete—and all for just $45! (Worth over $85+ at regular Recess AZ rates)
Whether you’re flying solo (we’ll pair you with teammates) or gathering a squad of six ($270), you’ll feel the excitement and camaraderie all afternoon.
Why Your Attendance Matters
At Becoming Grace, we believe in creating spaces where survivors don’t just heal—they thrive. Your ticket supports trauma-informed peer support, housing, legal advocacy, and empowerment workshops for women and children recovering from abuse.
Every laugh, cheer, and high-five at Recess Relay is a contribution to transformation. Just as Raise Your Voice catalyzed new momentum, Recess Relay amplifies impact through joy and presence.

The Importance of Community Support
In times of struggle, community support becomes a lifeline. It’s essential for survivors to feel that they are not alone. Events like Recess Relay foster connections and create a sense of belonging. They remind us that we are stronger together.
Healing Through Play
Play is not just for children. It’s a vital part of healing for adults too. Engaging in playful activities can reduce stress and promote emotional well-being. By participating in Recess Relay, you are not only having fun but also contributing to a healing journey for many.
Building a Brighter Future
Every ticket purchased, every volunteer hour, and every donation helps us build a brighter future for survivors. We are committed to expanding our reach and offering comprehensive resources to empower more individuals. Together, we can help survivors achieve long-term independence and healing.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
